Meet The Founder

320A8246.jpg

I'm Anna Lukomsky (she/her), a registered social worker and trauma therapist in Richmond Hill, Ontario, with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges.

My primary focus in treatment is safety; helping people feel safe in their lives, in their bodies and in sessions with me. Throughout the healing process, I create a supportive environment through warmth, humour, compassion, and gentle patience; letting clients set a pace that works best for them; from the very start showing clients they have everything they need to heal already within them, waiting to be acknowledged and seen.

While I work with many types of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trouble functioning and coping, women's issues, and addictions, over time, I have developed three areas of specialization: Complex-PTSD, specifically working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and neglect, treating bipolar disorder, and providing gender affirming care, as well as working with the LGBTQ+ community‌.

Benefits of Working With Me

Some of the primary benefits you’ll get from working with me, Anna Lukomsky, a trusted mental health professional and local trauma therapist in Richmond Hill, include the following:

Trauma Healing

Therapy provides a safe space to process and heal from past traumas, allowing for emotional relief and growth. By addressing unresolved trauma, you can experience profound healing, freeing yourself from the weight of your past, and paving the way for a brighter future. You will learn strategies for feeling safe, whole, and at ease, and learn how to regulate your emotions.

Somatic Regulation

Somatic regulation involves learning to manage bodily sensations and responses to aid in trauma healing. This includes becoming more aware of sensations like tension or discomfort and mastering techniques to handle them effectively.

Stabilize Bipolar Mood Fluctuations

Through therapeutic techniques and support, clients can learn effective coping strategies to manage mood swings and stabilize their emotional state. By gaining insight into triggers and developing personalized strategies, you can regain a sense of control over your emotions and lead a more balanced life.

Improve Self-Esteem and Relationships

With the guidance of therapy, clients can explore underlying issues, build self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns, leading to improved self-esteem and more fulfilling relationships. By understanding and addressing the root causes of low self-esteem, you can cultivate a deeper sense of self-worth and confidence, laying the foundation for stronger, more meaningful connections with others.
